With a republic, what I like to do is whenever a new consul is chosen and all office terms are over is to remove everyone from office and reassign each office to characters. However, this takes some dull effort which I would like to automate to a degree.

What would really help me is an event that removes all tech magistrates, censors and governors from their offices, that either fires when a new consul is chosen or (preferably) when an office term has passed.

However, I have no idea how to do this. Can anyone help?

There is no effect that will simply remove a character from a tech position, IIRC, but there is one to replace them. Have a look at the events that fire when you have a character with the objective to hold a position and the term is up, that should be a good starting point. If you really want to get fancy, you could add your event to the on_action for when a republic ruler is elected, so all of the offices get changed at the same time as your ruler.

(Another thing I'm working on for EITC, heh.)
