just wondering? when playing as a large nation how do you manage your troops? also it be great if anyone could make a video detailing how they micro manage their armies.

lol, i just seem to highlight everything and send it to where i want to fight :D

Star with a front. You want your battalions in stacks with unit types that compliment each other. Each hex takes seven units, so thats a start. Create 2x7 stacks of mechanized infantry and one stack of tanks and place in line. Now, bring some artilery and create a second line behind the first one. For every five arty battalions, add two infantry- create 3 such stacks to back up the first line. You've got a small land taskforce. Create two mixed stacks of 2xinf, 2xAT and 2xarty and place them a bit to the sides to cover flanks. Move a few supply trucks to the back. Get two fighters and two bombers, and allocate them nearby. Select all and create a battlegroup (ctrl 1 I think). So now you've got a very basic task force. Play around with the compositions and think of it as your basic block for army construction. It gets more interesting with air and navy, but it's a start. You can use the formation move command to keep the line structure you've created, so that the units do not attempt to pile o to a single hex when ordeted to move.

interesting, but my AI keeps moving my troops, and looking at the unit list, I have no idea if i am moving a unit i already assigned to a task force as you put it.

This, sadly, is a problem of a missing toggle that allows you to turn off AI control (ROE control). It got broken just before release and the devs are fixing it. I guess you could try turning off the unit initiative or setting the theater focus to NONE.
