How to own mods to work

I have made a new Solar system that I am going use as a starting system. That was easy and it works. Now where do I put it other than in the game files to make it useable. When following the prompts in the Wiki I only get 'Random' as a choice for starting system instead of; Sol, the D one, and the one I made.

That I have not, the ones that don't show up are asteroids. All the other planets have orbit lines.
