When playing Aegon the Conquerer (or The Noble as he ended up in this save) I killed the entire Gardener family, giving the titles to me. I decided to give Highgarden (both country and HL) to the Tullys. However I wanted to go against canon and decided to give the Hightowers the Lord Paramountship, giving Oldtown a rightful title. However, the Hightowers demanded Highgarden back and moved their capital to that place... I was dissappointed. It's probably because of the 'traditional capital' thingy. I can use the console to move the capital back and give Highgarden to the Tullys, however how do I prevent it from happening again? How can I modify the ai/game to not move the capital? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I mean Tyrell of course, not Tully.

You mean Tyrells, right? The Tullys are in the Riverlands. I don't think there's a way to stop this since it is the traditional capital of the region.
That is what I mean! I always get the two mixed up. There isnt any way to mod this? (For example making Oldtown the traditional capital?).

You could try to edit the e_reach or k_reach files and see if they specify where the default capital is. I'm no expert on Crusader King 2 modding, if fact, I have no idea how to mod in this game. You can always ask the mod team or ask in the modding thread.

Found it, it is in landed_titles.txt if anyone wonders. Just search for k_reach for example.
