One thing I had been looking forward to was playing Denmark in the highly volatile period from the death of Erik I (1103) to the final ascend of Valdemar I (1157). In this period, the many sons of Svend Estridsen, and later on their sons and grandsons, fought for the crown. It was all you could wish for in intrigues and kinslaying fun. However, in Vanilla one king follows the next, and in most cases the pretenders are not even landed, so they are not playable.

EDIT:
So I created this mod. All it does is set up a situation that can well lead to civil war throughout the period, and actually has four wars:
After the murder of Knud Lavard in 1131 and three seperate wars between Svend, Knud and Valdemar, starting in 1148, 1152 and 1157, respectively.

EDIT: Could a mod change the title to Danish Civil War Mod?
