How to stop the war and continue

Told I've reach 100% war exhaution and I have to end the war. He's the situation. I have no idea hpow to continue, first the enemy doesn't want peace and appears to have apolicy of conquest, nothing else, and secondly there's no options to end it?

You don't have to end the war when you reach 100% war exhaustion, the opponent can simply choose to declare a status quo 2 years after you've hit 100%.

Given that everything is greyed out though, it seems like you're not the main attacker or defender, so you actually don't have a say in when and how peace is made.

It's not that you have to end the war, especially considering it's a Total War (End Threat). You have no choice but to keep going and try to take as many systems as you can.
