It seems that many tricks in vanilla ( granting title --- pressing claims --- revoking title, get claims from the pope, etc.) is no longer valid. How would you expand your realm besides fabricating claims?

Sons
-Marry to female rulers
---Your dynasty inherits (alliance, possible vassalisation/inheritance later)
-Marry to female claimants / daughters of a ruler
---Risky: press her claim
---Safer: press her children's claims (claim must have been inheritable)

Daughters
-Invite male heirs & matrilineally marry
---Your dynasty inherits (alliance, possible vassalisation/inheritance later)
---(check succession law and why this person is an heir, e.g. current ruler simply hasn't had any kids yet)

There's a new trick specific to CK2Plus which you can use to usurp your liege. For that you need to be a heretic. You can then form a faction to force your liege to convert to your heresy, and if they refuse the ultimatum the resulting war will place you, the faction leader at the head of the realm. Only problem with that is you will have to be powerful enough to pull it all on your own, for other Chalcedonian vassals will not join this faction. But you can convert back should you manage to win.

That's a cool trick

I've gotten too used to playing in Spain or on the frontiers of Europe where there's always a large surplus of heathen land to conquer. Trying to play within a Christian domain feel so restrictive! I will consider these tips, you clearly have to be sneaky.

I found it too easy to expand by marrying female duchy claimants to my heirs, then conqiering the claim for them and having my grandson inherit. Or counties. Or even kingdoms if you feel like it. I like to limit myself and focus on RP and so far I conquered Normandy as a Norse, converted and became Norman, and got Gascony for my wife so my son will inherit it. If I wanted to I could have become King of France, Brittany, England, Lombardy and Asturias trough these means since my sons married claimants to those places.
