I was toying around with what provinces count as being part of the Holly Roman Empire and I got to thinking that the game set up for HRE (ie, what counts as being in the empire, electors, etc..) is pretty cool. With a few tweaks it might be better suited for representing the papacy rather then representing the HRE

So..
Can the HRE system be modified to only elect monarchs of specified religion(s) ? Rather then just Christian, can I adjust it to only Catholic & CRC, only Orthodox, only Buddhist, etc..

And editable?

Also..
Can the HRE system be duplicated?

Im thinking of using the system for electing the Pope, something like an EU2 immitation of the EU3 system.
If the system can be duplicated, a system for the Bishop of Constantinople might be cool too (I know that the Bishop of Constantinople must come from within his territory, but he can have any patron, no?)

Note: I know provinces can change religion, but Id imagine there would still be some followers of the previous faith, + rural populations. The pope's patron would then be represented with the tag. If I can restrict who becomes pope (ie, "emperor") to Catholic&CRC/Orthodox that would be a big plus too.

Id like to apply a duplicate to Japan too, so each of the small states can "elect" their emperor. Possibly create a similar system for France too.

I'll ask my question here rather than start a new thread as it's related.

You know how if anybody conquers Rome then all catholic countries get a CB on the owner. Is there anyway to edit or duplicate this for say Constantinople or Mecca? I assume its hard-coded but i thought i would ask to see if somebody else has already tried before i waste my time on it.

Not editable, hardcoded for the id of the Roma province.

It can be modified but only with Inferis' tools and reworking of the map in order to assign the id of the province to another one.
