I know these are currently incorporated in the AGC. Do they exist outside of it as a standalone package somewhere? Or does someone have them avaliable to download? I would prefer not to have to download and install the entire AGC just to extract these particular events. Thanks.

If you give me your email, I can sent you the two event files you want.

I asked the very same question, but got tumbleweed, so I downloaded AGC back on to get them.

Hopefully you should get the zip file (been having a little trouble recently)

P.S. I will ask that you be a little patient tho as I am having to leave in 2 hours and wont be back until Sunday:(

If anyone with AGC wishes to help DerekH with this in between then? It is not too hard, just make copies of the two german_independence event files, whack em in a zip file and send them off with flag waving, bunting and a fanfare for good measure.

DerekH, if you dont want to download AGC just for the events and nobody has sent them to you by Sunday, I will send them to you.

Is that acceptable?

Thanks very much for the offer. However, I cracked and ended up downloading the ACG a few hours ago to get the events. Quite a lot of them there are too. Now I'm considering trying to make my own...if I just knew 1 thing about event scripting. Thanks again though.
 
Sorry... haven't been here in a while...

But anyway, have the HRE Independence Events being doing their job? (I wrote them) From what I see half of them seem to work, keeping HRE states from gobbling each other up. The major ones don't seem to work as well. With some of the newer command triggers since 1.06 this might be fixable, however....

IMHO any way to fix the HRE problem would be a major step forward. :)
 
I would say they aren't working as well as they could be. I think with all the new commands and triggers this really could be a much simplier and more effective job these days. I'd do it myself if I knew the first thing about scripting an event. Random events firing for all countries will help a great deal I imagine.
