MAC said:In my vanilla game I did not manage to get NSpain into my alliance yet - after countless attempts. In this game I tried to influence as early as possible to be at 200 relation while NSpain is still at war. It worked on 2nd try.
I guess its either the war or that I have a good amount of cash (hidden feature more cash bigger chance? - like higher DI in HOI).
The question is what now?
If Germany had been led by a different leader then Hitler - a leader who had a better relation to Franco - and if Germany would have provided a statement of requirements for its help including an alliance what would have happened?
I could ban NSpain before attacking Poland (I doubt Franco would have risked a war with the Allies before Paris was captured by Germany) and edit NSpain back to the Axis after Vichy what would probably be more historically correct or could keep it like it is to have an authentic game even though probably not 100% realistic.
Would like to hear some opinions before continuing the game...
what is the HSR mod. you mean mod or patch. like patch 1.2 for hoi 2. thxsMAC said:Finally HSR is availaible for HOI2 and so I decided to make an AAR which will be somewhat a mix of a test of HSR and the "vanilla" AAR currently in progress. I think I pretty much screwed my "vanilla" game so I will soon have time to update this AAR pretty often![]()
Game Settings
Game Version: HOI2 1.1
HSR Version: 2.01
Difficulty: HSR HARD
Agressiveness: AGRESSIVE
Rules: Trying to "emulate" a simulation of WWII based on history but my flavour. This includes to try to avoid exploits and no save and reload to eleminate bad choices. Leader deaths will be manually edited leaving deaths of old age and deaths likely to happen untouched, removing deaths from events in case they do not occur (Stalingrad f.e.) and adding a chance for leader deaths in case units get destroyed.
Other: I will comment my game experience, troubles with the mod and suggestions in green. Story is in Palatino Linotype to look old

I like the look of the map, except the small flags in the unit selection. I have deleted those and will use the standard unit icons only.
