from around the 10th of November (in real life) my game is really laggy. The more visible examples are: very slow loading time, the first time I click on an army the game freezes for a few seconds and also month ticks take around 10 seconds if not more. My pc is definitely not the problem, as I recently formatted it and when I run the game directly from folder with eu4.exe the game is fine (month tick takes max 2s). It doesn't have connection to steam, so it can't track progress and complete achievements there and doesn't start with paradox launcher, although all the dlcs and mods are used from selected profile. It seems to me that steam screws everything up, but why after 2 years it started doing this now?
edit: I launched the game as usual from steam, but now with overlay turned off - it works as it should, no lags. Is there a way to fix it? Was there an update to steam overlay?
