For anyone who doesn't know about it (I found out via the Distant Worlds forums), the Space Empires 4 community has a huuuuuuge anthology of namelists kept here http://dna.spaceempires.net/
It includes Star Wars races, Star Trek races, lots of different historical navies, countries, several lists for different languages from the Tolkien-verse, animals, Babylon 5, ancient tribes, composers, music, demonology, ancient Greek, Latin, mythological creatures, Pokemon, religion, and frankly too many other lists to even mention (and plenty that I don't even know what they're from!).
It's frankly an absolutely invaluable collection for games like this and everyone should know about it!
