In game currently, not how history worked outIt depends if other admin noble families are powerful enough to even challenge your family.
Same for Chinese non imperial families/dynasties as they can fade from power rather easily and be replaced by new clans and families.
Mind you, it is described as 'feudal-style' rather than strictly feudal. I imagine the 'Japanese feudal' part will be to feudal as much as 'Japanese admin' to Chinese / Byzantine government."Transition"... I'd say more like "degradation" into feudal, because the Tang imperial court would not willingly transition into a symbolic head of state when majority of the military power was held by the regional feudal warlords, nor would the Japanese emperor want a regency that sets up a parallel ruling dynasty where regional governors swear their allegiance to. Like currently there is no legitimate reason in CK3 to switch away from administrative government to feudal or clan, because admin is just mechanically superior and overpowered. Hopefully the new Asian governments won't be as busted.
strange "tang" dynasty era tho with a tech rich west, potatoes, chocolate and moreI've been watching the Apothecary Diaries and my mind keeps drifting to CK3 All Under Heaven
