1)Where can I see all new events added by CORE?(please give a link)

I don't think we have a listing or such. It would probably be too long anyway... :D For example our Munich chain alone is over 200 events, covering both historical and ahistorical options. The overall COREd events would run in the thousands if not more, many of those interlinked.

We have a few Vanilla events that have been altered, but most have been replaced by new event chains which are much more in-depth.

Are you asking whether are all the tech trees are completely revised and extended upon? Absolutely. :cool: The last count I did for 0.30 (currently in beta), excluding naval and naval doctrine tech trees, came out at 462 techs. On average about 70 per tech tree. We're using nearly all of the model numbers which can be used too. It's probably best to install CORE and have a close look at them that way. Beware though, it takes some getting used to, but once you've tried them you're bound to get hooked.
As we're using a moddir installing CORE won't affect your regular DD setup anyway.

A lot of new tech teams and leaders are added, and some of the former will be unlocked by event or research decisions. Plus they're historical, unlike some of the Vanilla ones. A lot of changes to those are in 0.30, though the current regular release (0.25) does contain the odd one or two already.

Yes, and as such we even share the same forum. Unlike Vicky we have changed the techs and models as well. But the changes to the original game are as massive as those VIP made for Vicky.

In all fairness: if you liked Vicky then you surely will like CORE! :)
 
With what patch is the latest version compatible?Are there any options for early WWII via the Reoccupation of Rhineland?And since SCW began with a coup,is there a possibility for Reps to accept the Government change and to be inherited by Nats?

When you've downloaded the mod there should be a file called CORE 2 Event Register or something - it should list all events that are CORE-specific (but its pretty long, so I'm not posting it here).

As for the tech trees, they have been completely remade as Hagar said - to the point where I don't think we have a single tech left over from vanilla. Some may be similar, but we have rewritten them all.

In all fairness version 0.25 was designed for 1.2, not 1.3a, and as such hasn't been tested but would probably work OK. The pending version, 0.30 will be 1.3a compliant in any case.

And I do think that 0.25 harbored a couple of Vanilla techs, mostly in the nuclear tech tree. But in 0.30 i'm pretty sure that we revised them all. :p
 
I love C.O.R.E.'s Events and Tech Tree, but it really needs improved AI with this next release. Let C.O.R.E. relive its HOI1 Glory days!
 
Its difficult to say... we're in Beta testing now and haven't come across any really significant issues at the moment, but you never now. I really don't want to give a timeline - from experience I know we'll most likely end up breaking it. :)

I downloaded and installed it now,but when I try to run it I get the message which is something like:"ERROR: (Unknown Type In Naval Division) 'convoy attack = 5' Line = 24 in mod-CORE2\db\units\divisions\battleship.txt".I get the same message when running vanilla.
 
This error seems to be caused by people downloading & installing the HoI2 1.3a patch, rather than the DD 1.3a patch - please make sure that you have the latter. "Plain" HoI2 doesn't recognise various commands that are used in DD. This isn't specifically a CORE problem, since it isn't actually related to CORE at all - just the difference between HoI2 & DD.

(It may not sound like it, but it is an honest question - I'd like to know where you think the AI needs improving the most)

I love C.O.R.E. but its Combat and Building AI need to get a little better (maybe research as well). Combat should take priority however, I want a Pacific Japan that is powerful and a challenge, a Germany that can do Barbarossa etc.

Not for 0.30 in any case. We have started on shifting through the CORE1 events though. They will get in... eventually. ;)
