I play with my brother using the local area option. We have 2 computers. We can start a game and play with no problems.

However when we want to load a game it says that the scenario file cannot be uncompressed, this happens when the second person joins the game and it´s supposed to pick the country to play.

I don´t know if i explained myself the best way. My english is not perfect. Any idea what the problem might be?

Your scenario files might possibly differ? You should have the same scen files, same mods (if any), same version and so on.

So reinstalling might do the trick. ;)

We both reinstalled the game, so now we have everything exactly the same.

We started a game and saved it. The problem remains when we load it.

I´m hosting the game and when my brother joins i get this message:

"The compression of the scenario failed. Please contact support."

and my brother gets this message:

"The uncompression of the scenario failed. Please contact support."

This is getting really frustrating, any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you have already played and then the save won't work?

In that case, either the save is corrupt, so you have to start a new game. Or there has been an error with uploading the save in the lobby, so in that case one of you delete the save and try again with the guy with the save hosting, or try to share the save via Skype, msn or upload it somewhere...

We tried it more than 10 times with different scenarios and it keeps happening
I don't really understand. You have to problem with just the save or starting a new game with every scen?

I'm having the exact same problem. The game crashed for one of us and the host saved the game before leaving. When we tried to load the game we also got this message. copying the savefile to the other comp does not seem to help either.

edit: We found out what we did wrong. You have to remember to move both the .eug savefile and the .eug.cfg files.

Good luck!
