I can't get multiplayer to work!

OK, everytime I try to start a multiplayer game with my friend the one trying to join the game the other is hosting gets an error message... "Can't find game. No game was found at IP adress ###.###.### please contact your administrator or something and try again"

So, what is the problem? And remeber that I am no computer whiz so please use terms understandable by your average english speaker.

have the same problem and it looks like that it can't be solved (in my case) with the faq, because I can't go out and change my router configuration, because it isn't "mine".

with other games it worked fine

If your router supports Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) and has it enabled you should still be able to get it to work from your end. UPnP isn't always installed by default in Windows, it would be under "Optional Networking Components" in the Advanced menu of your network places.
