Guys, I had bought Xbox Game Pass to play CK3, but the mods instalation by paradox site do not install.

The error is: Install of this mod failed. But, When I select the mod folder, it not shows the files (?)

Otherwise, I've try download manually, but when I select the mod and active it, when i finally run the game do not changed at all. Like the mod hadn't been activated.

Someone could help me?

Same with steam version.

Mods from paradox site would not install properly, and mods from steam workshop do not show up in the launcher at all.

And the game thread does not terminate properly after I quit the launcher:

Im having the exact same issue and I cant seem to find any fix or acknowledgment of it yet

Try this. At the top there should be the phrase "Initial playset" and just go ahead and click on that and it'll bring up a dropdown menu and search. Add a new playset and you can add those mods. I was just having the same issue but then found it, so I thought that this might help you.

Sorry, I'm bad at giving directions sometimes.

1) Go to the Mods section of the launcer
2) Click manage mods
3) At the top under under Crusader Kings III will be the words Initial playset, click on it and it'll bring a drop down box.
4) Hit the add mods, then check the boxes you want
5) Hit add to playlist in lower left hand corner
6) After that, you'll go back to the part of the launcher you'd normally just hit play on and beneath it will be a playset dropdown box, select the one you want and bam.

Oh, man I'm sorry. Yeah, you should have a drop down box. Hopefully someone comes along and addresses this. I was hoping that you had just been as lost as I was so you could get this fixed.

So the windows game pass version has a different launcher that lacks the playlist menu at the top of the launcher under the king. and it also does not have an add mods button in the mod section.

To install a mod manually on the game pass version of CK3, you need to open the launcher, go to the mods section and click on the "mod tools" button, then click "create a mod" then you give it a name, enter the current version number(its at the bottom of the launcher), then enter some name after " /mod" , can click any of the boxes and click create mod. Close the launcher. In the newly created mod folder at: C:\Users\XXXXXX\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\YOURMODNAME you will extract the contents of the mods zip file except Descriptor.mod. Make sure the mod is enabled when you restart the launcher and you should be good to go.

Hey, I want to try it, but the mod tool doesn't start up, it opens just a grey box with no content at all :(

This is exhausting, I just want to install the premog mod :D

Does anyone know how to handle that issue?

I have a similar problem, i cant enable mods, because I dont have an mod section in the launcher, only "News" and "Settings".

Does anybody know a solution?

Spent a long time looking for a solution to the same problem, it's apparently due to the default privacy settings on Xbox game pass. Go to your Account Settings in the Xbox Game Pass App, select "Manage Privacy Settings", that will redirect to a webpage. Once your logged on there's a selection for "You can see and upload community creations", select the "Everyone" option. Then click submit at the bottom of the page, after that when you launch the game the mods section should be available in the launcher.
