Don't forget the Geth..

They already told us that robots/androids/etc are not playable.

So while there are next to no 'official' threads, they DO give us some scraps.

They told us it would not be in the game initially, but could be at some points. If they figure out how to handle them and make them feel special yet balanced to the game. It may very well never happen, but they do have the desire to have something like this at some point... One can only hope at this point

I am pretty sure it was along the lines of "Not for the base game, maybe somewhat later via DLC if we figure out how to"

We have to keep talking on this forum or else they'll kill it like Runemaster. That's the key. If they kill Stellaris, my dream of purifying the galaxy for America and America only will never come to fruition. Therefore we must keep talking.

How are that different from what I said :)

Just a slight difference in conviction :D

For me it sounds more like a complete overhaul like they did for horde in CKII instead of 'just' adding republics.

Its not just speculation - there are trolls too (I'm looking at the those byzantine threads).
They find themselves really funny :')

To the OP, you can show only the threads that have Dev. responses, then further filter the thread itself. The most recent relevant responses say they are hard at work making the game and want to start up the dev diaries sometime in Oct/Nov.

edit - It's a long time from the announcement in August to a dev diary in Oct or Nov... we are filling air, don't want the devs to think the forum is dead and there is nobody interested, no? Gotta keep 'em on task making the best game they are capable of, ya know. ;)

Part of me wants to think that initial statements of our intentions met with overwhelm support here could influence them in their design phase. Things like overwhelming support for a non-civilization model of game start (one planet, everyone the same) and instead a more paradox familiar op-France/Abbasid/etc and wimpy OPM challenge options... maybe they'll listen. Maybe it'll have SOME impact, even if the one-solar-system start stays. Things like religion discussions apparently didn't have a chance to shape outcomes, but I highly suspect that the one monster of a thread might have swayed a dev IF there had been a "religion = bad science" paradigm in place like its OP thought. Things like Byzantines in space, well, that's just troll fun.

The thing is, there is no game (nor will there ever be) called Stellaris. This is actually a social experiment by the reptilians who run Paradox to see just how much we'll make up about a game that will never exist!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to take this delivery of tinfoil - I am wallpapering my house to make it secure against the mind reading powers of the Paradoxian Reptilians..

There's a lot of water around Sweden, so wouldn't it make more sense for them to be amphibians? On the other hand, it's also kinda chilly up there, so maybe furry amphibians...

Paradox Interactive simply wants us to sacrifice our precious time and energy on these threads to preserve interest in Stellaris. By sacrificing our time and energy we are channeling our life forces into the internet and a device in the deepest bowels of the Paradox Interactive building is draining our life forces into a powerful machine which they use as an alternative fuel source. Every minute that a person spends browsing or posting on these forums is another minute of power for the Paradox Interactive building. All of the excess energy is being channeled into a remote source which will be used in a fel ritual to resurrect Gustavus Adolphus to lead Sweden to another age of glory and dominance over Europe.

Ahh, see, that's what they you to think... No one would suspect evil Reptilian's would live in Sweden...

Whoa whoa whoa, why are we evil? Don't be specist.

You are an evil specie, look at how you attack Denmark time and time again in EU4 :-D and my girlfriend are at times quite upset with the release of your games in your evil masterplan to enslave all other ;-)

I meant that I'm reptilian, not Swedish. Obviously all swedes are evil; this has been well established.

Well... sorry to confuse you with a Swede then :)

The problem is due to the lack of solid gameplay details we could perceive the game to be greater than it could ever possibly achieve.Like the Matrix sequels.

It's happening already. Dev diaries would go long way to both sustain the hype and at the same moment contain it in the realm of possibilities.
