I keep Getting Error When Re-installing

I am trying to re-install DD and it stops at 22% with this error message

File Group: Common
File: E:\data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

I did the registry clearing. I don't know what the problem is because I have done re-installs before. Any help would be appreciated

You have deleted all install shield information?

Try and copy your CD on to you harddrive and install it from there, it could help

Hint from jpd:

Have you tried cleaning it? If not, use a soft cloth, and gently brush from the center hole towards the edges of the CD. Do not use cleaning fluids, or apply a lot of presure, as this can damage the surface of the CD. Avoid circular motions while cleaning the surface.
