I loved when this game released, so much modding talk and updates in the steam workshop happening. It's since dried up a little bit. I remember you would have to sometimes scan 3 pages of new threads every day and now you can see threads a week old on the first page. I can't wait until the next patch so it will bring back a few people to the scene.

I think many modders are waiting to see what the patch will do to the game. Still, some very lovely buildings and road layouts have been released recently.

+1

Although some CO guy replied in some thread they did everything they can and everything is in modders hands now, i hope he didn't knew what he was talking about.
Many essential things are broken (color variations, props etc etc etc....) or way to complicated (eg icons). Lots of great ideas don't work cause the api is kinda limited.
Still no Dev took the time to tell us about their polytargets during developement (a task which shouldn't take longer than 3 minutes) and we have to guess (though the CO community guy told me he would pass the question to the devs like a month ago.)

Yea I've had to ask outside sources about the Tri count for trees. I was trying to stick to 300-500 Tri's but recently after seeing many people upload work with higher tri counts I started to up my limit to 500-1200 tris just so I can make better looking trees. I agree that there are still some things I would like to see for the modder side of things. For one would be to fix the bug that causes my game to freeze at the main menu every time I'm switching back and forth between the editor and the game. I constantly have to end the cities.exe process.

I would also like to see vehicles added to the asset editor. I would love to make some super cool low poly cars and trucks and stuff.
