I need help

Im new to these forrums and i really need help with something, whenever i try to join a game a message comes up saying host ip not found check router and firewall settings. This hapens all the time, i downloaded the doomsday patch 1.2 and installed it but still wont let join a game with doomsday 1.2 as the host. COuld some1 please post, i really want to join a MP game.

The problems are uselly you got your firewall on. And/or you have a roiter that you play over. Connect around it.

Thanks for the sugestions, and i do turn off firewall, and the thing about the ports, i dont think i want to fool around with that, but thtas what i dont understand why do i have to fool around witht he ports in my router for this 1 game when all my others dont need to, there must be another way.

Just use hamachi, and your router problems should go away.

Yes i tried hamachi but i could never get it to work, after i tried a network sugested in these forrums and got in i had no idea how to actually play, maybe some 1 could give a step by step explanation on how to use it and maybe some more networks with enough players to try it.

Also if i can find the place where to allow HOI2 DD to go ion the router, thanks.

Its simple. Once hamachi is installed, open, and the frist button one the left side down, you can create your network, by putting a name and password. Or you can join in a network, by putting the network name. Basicly is this what matter on hamachi, the other button, configuration, is just for change name and other lesse options

yes i did that and joined a network, but then how do i play HOI2 DD.

uor wellcome, but make sure you have hamachi working when you host a local game
