and the Civ 7 freefall continues. Genuinely curious what Firaxis will do once the next wave of civs and leaders gets released, cause that isn't gonna be enough to bring back players I feel.

Good afternoon everyone!

This week there are more players overall +4,84% with PDX losing -2,81% but other publishers winning +10,30%.

TIER I GAMES: is for HOI IV again this week with second for CIV VI that I will keep in this category as it seems it has recovered some steam the last three weeks.
TIER II GAMES has warhammer III coming back to leadership after Stellaris boom the other games remain stable.
TIER III GAMES has Civ VII as top dog hinting with a recovery, we will see if it can keep up and this marks its lowest point.

TIER IV GAMES sees a big drop for Age of Wonders III after last week surprise blip. The other games remain fairly stable.

Since the fall has slowed recently, we saw a surprise (and for that quite sizey) patch this Tuesday (which probably didn't impact your numbers a lot yet) and June's patch is said to bring improvements like bigger maps and steam support, I see indeed a chance for things getting better. I would count on a drastic rise on short term, though - stabilization or a slight upwards trend seem more likely to me and would be already a sucess after what happened so far with Civ7. I just hope that the ones deciding about support/development show enough patience and commitment.

Good morning,

Sorry for the delay, yesterday was celebrating my birthday and wasn't able to deliver. The data from this update is delayed 8h. The week has less players overall (-5.74%) where PDX (-4.68%) and other publishers (-6,40%) since last week.

TIER I GAMES is again for HOI IV with CIV VI very far away
TIER II GAMES is for Warhammer III with the other games very close together
TIER III GAMES is for CIV VII until Victoria 3 releases its ground breaking 1.9 version in 11 days.

TIER IV GAMES remain fairly stable with no surprises here

Good day to everyone,

This week there is a small decline of players (-0,70%) with PDX decreasing -2,23% and other publishers +0,28%

  • TIER I GAMES is for HOI IV
  • TIER II GAMES remain dominated by Warhammer III with the other games stable
  • TIER III GAMES sees CIV VII restart its decline and next week finally Vic3 releases its revolutionary 1.9

  • TIER IV GAMES remain stable, with I:R increasing a lot its player base, probably by players interested in training for EU V:

Albeit that date not completely set in stone yet, Civ7 might receive an update next Tuesday, too. With bigger map sizes, Steam Workshop supports and some other promising stuff, I consider it as a quite big one, if not the biggest yet. If both release that day, it will be interesting to see and compare how player numbers develop afterwards for Civ7 and Vic3. I wish both games the best! :)

I don't. They knew civ 7 was garbage because they tried so hard to squeeze so much money out of people with preorders. Firaxis deserves to have the game fail.
