and the Civ 7 freefall continues. Genuinely curious what Firaxis will do once the next wave of civs and leaders gets released, cause that isn't gonna be enough to bring back players I feel.

Since the fall has slowed recently, we saw a surprise (and for that quite sizey) patch this Tuesday (which probably didn't impact your numbers a lot yet) and June's patch is said to bring improvements like bigger maps and steam support, I see indeed a chance for things getting better. I would count on a drastic rise on short term, though - stabilization or a slight upwards trend seem more likely to me and would be already a sucess after what happened so far with Civ7. I just hope that the ones deciding about support/development show enough patience and commitment.(...)
TIER III GAMES has Civ VII as top dog hinting with a recovery, we will see if it can keep up and this marks its lowest point.

Good day to everyone,

- TIER I GAMES is for HOI IV
- TIER II GAMES remain dominated by Warhammer III with the other games stable
- TIER III GAMES sees CIV VII restart its decline and next week finally Vic3 releases its revolutionary 1.9

- TIER IV GAMES remain stable, with I:R increasing a lot its player base, probably by players interested in training for EU V:
I don't. They knew civ 7 was garbage because they tried so hard to squeeze so much money out of people with preorders. Firaxis deserves to have the game fail.Albeit that date not completely set in stone yet, Civ7 might receive an update next Tuesday, too. With bigger map sizes, Steam Workshop supports and some other promising stuff, I consider it as a quite big one, if not the biggest yet. If both release that day, it will be interesting to see and compare how player numbers develop afterwards for Civ7 and Vic3. I wish both games the best!![]()
