Yes, any update on fixing these issues?
I still expect these issues to be fixed in 1.6 . I still do not know when that is planned, I'm afraid.

Well, it said 1.6 in the bug reports Fixed field. If they've changed the designation to 2.0 I expect them still to be fixed, yes.

Again: The questions are very simple:
"Is there somebody working on that issue?"
"Is there a 1.6. patch anyway?"
"If not, will the problems be fixed in 2.0.?"
I don´t think, that I require too much getting an answer to that question.

Otherwise I would ask another simple question:
"Where and how do I get back the money?"

I explicitly stated above that the logged bugs on this problem are marked as fixed. That being the case I would imagine no further work is being done on it now, no.

I also said I wasn't sure if the next patch will be termed 1.6 or 2.0 . It doesn't matter what it's called for this purpose.

Any refund would have to come from where you bought the game.

Hello!

I have the same problem. I also wrote an E-Mail to the Support Center of Paradox which I found in my Steam Account. But I immediately got an answer that I have to post it in the Paradox Forum again because they are not answering E-Mails.

So here is the shortened text of my E-Mail again:

I bought the game Imperator Rome on Steam a few days ago. But now I have a big problem. Because I am an owner of a new Mac Computer it seems that the game is always crashing in the years 454, 455 or 456. And in one game it always crashes on a same date.

First I thought that this happens when I conquered another nation and offered peace. But the game even crashes when I do nothing except waiting when the game is not paused. It even crashes when I take part in the game as a viewer.

In the past few days I checked everything on my Mac. My graphic card is okay. And my Mac computer has eight GB RAM. But Imperator Rome is still not playable. Then I noticed the forum at Steam and other Homepages. It seems that there are many owners of a Mac who have the same problems.

But I don’t want to be part of the shitstorm that ist formed by many Mac Owners on Steam or somewhere else. I want a good and reasonably solution for me and for you. Until now I don’t want my money back, but a playable game. I think that the concept of the game is good. But it makes no sense when Imperator Rome always crashes on my Mac. I also found out that this problem is an older one for your company.

So these are my questions:

1. How can you help me to run this game without permanent crashes? As I mentioned I like the the idea of the game. But for me it is totally annoying and disapointing that the game doesn’t work on my Mac.

2. Are you able to fix this problem? And how long do I have to wait? Will there be any patches in the next time to fix this problem?

3. I am still hoping that the game won’t crash in the future. So what solutions do you have for me? Wanting my money back is the last possibility. What can I do?

And by the way: I nearly forgot to mention the information about my Mac computer.

It is a macOS Big Sur, Version 11.1

iMac (Retina 5k, 27 inches, 2019)

3,7 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5

RAM: 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 =>but I am buying a new one with 16 GB at the moment.

Graphic Card: Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB.

I hope that this also could help you to solve my problems.

Thanks for the answer.

Greetings/ Regards,

Oh, and I also have to mention: I found a folder with the crash reports on my Mac. But there are far too many that I can post here. And also I wouldn't know how to do this. But I am still convinced that this has to be a general problem with Imperator Rome concerning iMacs and their users. And also I tried it to run the game with and without the DLCs. But there ist no difference.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for the answer.

@demiurg75

I suspect that you're experiencing an issue where the game crahses if a nation ceases to exist. The problem is well reported and as far as I can glean from the messages from PDX team on these forums has also been resolved but not yet released.

There is a big update, and all we can do for now, is hope that the fixes for this, as well as some other mac specific issues, are included.

The release date for that update is TBC

Aside from the other issues reported here, are you guys getting achievement? Last I played, I wasn’t. Reported it, they had me do certain things, but didn’t work. Stopped playing after that.

I really cannot understand that there is no further information about a problem like this.
Is it going to be fixed in the next update or not?
What is so difficult about asking the developers if they are working on this problem and to get a simple answer.

I have repeatedly said the logged bugs are marked as fixed in the next patch, including just a few posts up here.

The only extra info since then is already public:
