Even though I know migrating is part of the nomadic gameplay loop, I want to be able to be somewhat settled in one area. I like to play tall so what I'm doing now is keeping some herders next to my domain and when its fertility is very low I demand their pastureland with good fertility and abandon of one my counties with low. This way I can micromanage the land rotations and always keep my herd growing faster.

There are two problems with this: the first is that my old county is always settled by an INDEPENDENT herder and I have to keep the game paused because if I wait more than one day some random nomad migrate to their land; secondly, the herder might become someone else's tributary and then I simply lose my county -unless one of my own tributaries becomes hes new suzerain but I don't keep a lot of them-.

(and since both demanding tribute and demanding the pastureland from herders costs prestige, I'm always struggling with mine but this might only be skill issue :p)

I know it sounds like I wanna play feudal/clan but with the nomadic government but it isn't like I don't migrate. When my part of the steppe wil face a bad season I go to another more fertile since I find it more fun to manage things like this, I just don't like to keep hopping the map every few years.

And as I play the 867 start date almost exclusively I have other complaint
The steal innovation raid intent should be available to tribals too because right now the process of feudalizing is a grind - its not fun to watch the innovation bar fill one after the other - and with the nomads there's EVEN LESS reason to play tribal.

I just createad my forum account and only did so because this things are really harmful to my tall/roleplay style so if you agree with me make some noise and let's see if the devs change it.
