I meddled with the static_modifiers text document to edit the difficulty options. I think this changes the checksum. Will I be unable to multiplayer? Can I restore it to its original state by editing the parametres to the norm? Will I be able to multiplayer then?

Yes, it changes checksum and you will not be able to play with people who have original file. If you restore static_modifiers to it`s initial state, you`ll be fine.

By the way, it`s way better to use modfolder for making changes in your game. :)

Right, that's what I thought too. I hadn't read the mod tutorial though and was in a hurry.

Brb trying it out

Err, can you guys link me the original static_modifiers text document? I don't want Steam to take my "reinstall" command as a moment to begin downloading all over again =X
