I currently play a count (Vendôme/Berry/France) and while I'm too weak to do much warfare by myself, my troops are very often levied by my Duke or my King. My character spends a lot of time with these armies, as shown by the "sword" icon that appears on it when he's away.

Now, the thing is, this constant warfare never gives any prestige to my character. Combat events hardly ever fire and I never get any credit for this. One would imagine that a count leading his troops in massive battles against infidels for the glory of his King would occasionally in a situation to get a lot of prestige (leading a charge, leading an assault, etc) or to capture ennemies for ransom. I believe that I got only a single combat event in about 250 years of gameplay.

Same thing when I mobilize my troops myself to fight rebels, or to help in a war. Battles with give about 0.2 to 0.5 points of prestige, divided between up to three characters. Not much, when you think that a mere summr festival will bring you 20 points of Prestige.

My feeling is that there should be more combats events, that battles should give more prestige and that "intrigue" like summers festivals and hunts should give somewhat less. After all, the primary job of a feudal lord is to serve his liege when war erupts, isn't?

You can actually modify this yourself quite easily, without events. All you need to do is open in defines.lua in the common directory (wordpad works well), make a backup of it someplace, and find the line:

BATTLE_PRESTIGE_MULTIPLIER =

It starts as 1, but you can figure out that perhaps, making it 5 gives you 5 times the prestige gain. Personally, I set it to 5.

Normally you get about 1 prestige for every 1k kills you score, this way, i get 5 points for every 1k kills.

Just be aware that this then applies to prestige that the AI is getting in all their silly squabbles as well.
