This is my suggestion/idea from the German forum from the players home
If there are bikes and e-bikes/scooters added in an upcoming DLC, at least the bikes should be included in the Free Update.
In general, I would be happy about e-bikes and e-scooters, these should also affect the power requirement, there must then also be stations and for rental bikes or rental e-scooters also give a service again, as in real life also
As for this, the question is what if two cyclists have an accident on a bike path? how does the ambulance get there? in that case, ambulance and police should also be allowed to ride on bike paths and sidewalks, but only if the destination of the accident, is only accessible via a sidewalk / bike path.
Bicycle transport on buses, streetcars and trains is also important, as well as on ferries.
As for wayfinding costs, a bike would mean convenience and threefold, 1. it's more convenient than walking and 2. you can cover a greater distance and 3. it promotes good health.
It will be like in CSL 1 that we will also have ordinances, for example, prohibiting bicycles on sidewalks, that would result in fewer riding bicycles unless it is a sidewalk with a bicycle lane, just like in pedestrian areas that there is an additional bicycle lane.
The bicycle would then be used more and more, the better the bicycle network is developed.
In addition, there is the time factor: is the destination even reachable within a time window by bicycle, e-bike/scooter?
If the goal is shopping, you will hardly take the bike, unless there are then also some with trailer.
Then it will certainly also come the regulation, promotion of cycling, this would mean that residents complain if necessary because there are not enough bike lanes.
Regulation of free e-bikes / scooters would also motivate more to switch to it.
Seniors are less likely to switch to bicycles unless they are healthy enough to do so.
In the same way, seniors are more likely to take a cab, because it offers a very high level of comfort.
Don't know how far the weather and temperatures affect the wayfinding costs, if it rains, snows or is too cold, the comfort for the bicycle, e-bike/scooter must decrease somewhat and increase somewhat for other means of transport.
Think that it will be possible in any case.
