ideas for new Mp turnaments.

We so far have had a steady stream of exciting and awesome turnaments run by really cool people. they have varied in style and length from short 1v1 solaris style contests to the ginormus vallahla tournament wit hover 90 players. that said i would like to start a forum to spitball ideas about what people would like to see In a tournament going forward. I have already started talking to some other players on discord about possibly starting a new to mper friendly turney with a small cash prize. I am curious what all you wonderful forum goers would like to see in the future.

I would like to see a weekend Tournament, maybe even as invitational with players we know will show up. Small size so that it all can be done in one max 2 days

I would like to see Regional Tournaments ~ Euro / Asia / Oceana / Americas.

Some are more populated, some less but another way to approach Multiplayer would be with a geographic focus.

I hade an idea around 4 "Regional" Tournaments - where the top 1 or 2 or 3 (either depending on overall members or regional different - like 1 from OC, 1 from Asia, 3 from europe and 3 from america) advance to the final Championship... but attendence already falls of so i´m careful to put another tournament on the line - rather wait for Valhalla and/ or Jerome to be resolved before i host the next "bigger" thing

ok weekend tournaments up and running, hopefully somebody else will see about the other two suggestions. anybody else got any other ideas for tournaments they would like to see?

Progression in Tournamentsk is something that appeals to me greatly.

Perhaps if you run a few more weekend Weekend Tournaments in the coming months, you could have a "Weekend of Champions" Invitational Tournament where your Champions compete against one another.

Similarly our Solaris VII Light, Medium, Heavy and soon Assualt Mech 1-Mech v 1-Mech Tournament Champions might have a chance to all meet for a Grand Championship where the requirement is to have one-each a Light, Medium, Heavy and Assault Mech in a 4-Mech Lance.

Also Tournaments named and somehow themed after local cities to the Tournament Organizer could be interesting. A "Phoenix Open Invitational" on the Death Valley Map could be fun.


Not all great ideas, but hopefully enough to spark great ideas for others! : )
