I'm thinking about making some sort of mini-mod that adds in "hard" (treated in realistic ways as much as possible) sci-fi elements to AOD. It should expand the tech tree and unit roster without touching other gameplay elements. The timeline of availability should start from around '43-'44.

Some initial ideas:
- Walker Mech : Inspired by Paolo Parente's "Dust" series (http://www.dustgame.com/). A variant of Mec that is more expensive and supply-demanding (making and maintaining those complicated walking gears costs a lot) and slower, but has much less terrain penalties (which I bet is what those units will be used for in real life, for example the US program to develop walkers for use in Afghanistan). Basically Mec meets Mtn. For modding reasons, I guess it has to be classified as Mtn though.
- Mobile Infantry : Inspired by Panzerkleins from the "Silent Storm" game - infantry with small powered exoskeletons. A variant of Par with Mot- or Mec- like softness (around 70% is reasonable, I guess), stats close to Mec except speed (they're still foot infantry, just a bit faster). High manpower/IC cost and supply consumption similar to Mot to balance with vanilla Par.
- Jetpack Infantry : Inspired by the movie "The Rocketeer". A variant of Cav that should be similar to Air Cavalry but available earlier (around '45-'46 maybe) at higher manpower cost. High Air Attack/Defence and Suppression.
- Carrier-Submarine : I think the name is self-explanatory enough :D I'm not sure about the technicalities for this though.

The land units can be available as brigades as well, but I haven't figured out how to do it properly yet.

Ideas and contributions are highly welcome :D Also collaborators :D
