do I get to choose whether to be Catholic or Orthodox? Sorry, only became a + player this patch. So, I have no idea of what to expect.

Does your liege choose for you?
If no, how does it work in AI realms?
Can they choose different religion between liege and vassals at the moment of the shism?
Oh and what is it based on? Culture probably, but how exactly does it work? Greek goes here, Italien goes there, sure. I once had a savegame where Poland went Catholic, but I scrapped the game. When I wanted to retry they went for Orthodox.
I think the rest went more or less like you'd expect...
