IGC - tax option not available

Support please.

IGCConfig does not offer tax options (that is, the combo box is greyed out)

The DOS window shows the message 'Unable to write to db\tax_stab.csv',
which I see is read-only. I can edit the read-only flag, but reluctant to meddle without advice.

I have just downloaded and applied EU1.09 (after much play with 1.08) and also IGC2.3. I took option 4 from the FAQ, that is, copy 4 directories to 'old...' versions.

I have not yet played a game with 1.09 or IGC, but it seems to start OK.

Read only on tax_stab is the problem. Go ahead and change it.

OK, that worked fine.
Is this a known problem? Presumably this happens to everyone.

It must be an easy fix - either put a writeable copy of the file into the zip pack, or a little bit more code in patch.exe to change it to writeable.

Not sure why it occurs - it's happened to a small number of people (based on posts for help, like yours). As I recall, the IGC install was a little smarter a few versions ago, but that caused other problems...
