ill be using a variation of very emu. in very emu, the ai gets very hard bonuses but the human suffers no penalties. in this variation, he gets a shitload of IC, corresponding resources, and some extra manpower but with a -5% research (commitern only). no combat/speed related bonuses though. normal aggressiveness

1936 GC

1.3b2 + DAIM

i will be limiting myself. airforce, navy, and IC will be built to normal levels but no more than 120 divisions for france and 160 for barbarossa (unless theyre clearly stronger). im allowed to make whatever percentage mechanized i want and im free to spam HQ-spart (though i wont). i wont push central planning.

i want a challenge.

newer rules that ive thought of:

i will keep an army in france and britian (sealioning in october of 40 if things go right)

if the soviets are too easy i will write events for siberian divisions. if they are too hard then i will spam divisions. 160 is the figure for the start of barbarossa, not the whole campaign.

because the intelligence is so overactive, ima spike the costs. but ill still invest and drain my cash ;)

ill be germany and there wont be early annexations.

Oh cool, which country will you be playing?

Anyway, I think you should mod nearly all the stuff the AI has. Their GDE, research speed, IC efficency, free resources and IC, relative MP, building times and costs for units. Fort producing times to really small that they easily fortify the battlefield. Unit building ratios could be modded to make for example Germany to have an impressive 50% of their army mech and armor.

Hmm look interesting, nice challenge.
I'm suscribed!

###########UPDATE ONE################

The attack in Poland is about to begin.

My army is sufficient with:

63 infantry

18 armor

6 motorized infantry

2 HQ

3 mountaineers

39 hungarian infantry divisions

My airforce is quite small with:

8 ints

8 escorted tacs

My navy is quite impressive with:

6 battle ships

4 Heavy cruisers

14 light cruisers

20 submarines

6 transports

and a collection of 11 old ships

Facing the west is 27 infantry divisions.

This picture shows the deployment of my forces on the eve of war and my resources.

#################UPDATE 2#############

Poland fell after 11 days of fighting. Since they had 70 effective IC (45 base), i expected a touger fight. Then again, I brought more air support. My airforce rapidly expanded to about 20 fighters by 1940.

I know have 114 divisions (I think, I didn't check but it's around there).

18 armored and 9 motorized-- They will be the key

ScreenSave6.jpg

I expect a good fight from France. Their army should be 30% bigger plus a little less retarded because of DAIM (30% bonus for manpower, IC, and resources though russia got a -5% research and i got a +5% research).

I would be proven correct.

Mmmh good luck. The beefed up France seems to be quite formidable.

#############UPDATE 3##############

damn france was hard.

Well, a quick armored strike through the ardennes almost broke through to Paris. But a strong and decisive counterattack ensured for over a week and my panzer forces were forced to retreat. It would be a terrible defeat. In Colonge the lack of progess allowed French counter attacks to form a seasaw battle. I evacuated my planes though.

ScreenSave0.jpg

The Dutch collapsed quickly though. They were seperated from France.

ScreenSave2.jpg

I tried to outflank the main French force from the north but was counter attacked strongly. I got to Lille at one point though. This line has errie reminders of WW1.

ScreenSave7.jpg

Once the Dutch surrendered I could redeploy the neccesary infantry for another panzer assault south. They quickly cut 45 divisions off.

ScreenSave10.jpg

ScreenSave11.jpg

I break the center.

ScreenSave12.jpg

France is cut in 2 and falls a week later.

ScreenSave14.jpg

Now I unleash my navy. The British and French airforces are almost completely destroyed from all my fighters.

I trade my subs for loads of capitol ships.

ScreenSave16.jpg

I also blockade Gibralter with my fleet. But sealion failed. Hopefully the Italians will pressure the British in North Africa enough to draw troops. I won the channel.

ScreenSave17.jpg

I'm worried about the 450 IC soviet union.

Yeah considering that France was difficult to defeat , the SU is certainly going to be a monster!

You could try cycling A LOT of your INFs to break the enemy in your invasion, 3 div stacks cycling in and out of combat, and combine that with a stack of fully rested divisions in the Channel provinces waiting for transport should be enough IMO. You can also commit a small force to pull them away from another area then deal a huge invasion there.

Crap, you bagged a crapload of ships with your U-boats.
