Playing a handsoff game, everything has been OK until about 1947 when I reload I get the 'Critical Error - illegal id type 65534' on the loading screen. You can 'Ignore' and the game loads normally.

Done a search on the AoD install for 65534 and this is the only csv. file I can find; it looks alright to me but I'm sure you'll know:

Code:
65534;Head of Military Intelligence;Ben Chifley;36;ML;Political Specialist;Very High;M56039;x

This kind of error is usually not critical.

In your case it could be that the game has added the same minister twice to the save game. Duplications are rare, but can still occur.

Try loading your save (takes some time!) and look if you find two similiar entries.

Thanks for the reply, yes the game still works fine; loaded up as the US and Ben Chifley isn't available as a minister (he's ML so I moved the sliders around to get a ML cabinet & options) so for some reason he's been got rid of - this is a long handsoff game, currently it's August 1948 - so he could have been assassinated without me noticing.

Thank you
