Until the bugs with, well, everything, are fixed, I'll stick to a version of the game that I know works properly.

You can downgrade to most versions in Steam. Mods are the biggest issue when playing old versions as most get updated.

You can archive a copy of your mods folder for each version to avoid that problem, but it's something you have to do manually and in advance, unfortunately.
But yeah... You don't need to have an old version of the game still installed on a second computer. You can play any old version (even those from before you started playing) any time you want.
