I just started the game and the map does not load anymore, doesn't matter if it's a loaded game or the main menu.

That screenshot looks like a 1.0.0 save game loaded under 1.0.1, is that the case?

The release notes for 1.0.1 explicitly say that 1.0.0 Ironman saves will not be compatible with 1.0.1

There are instructions in there on how to revert to 1.0.0

However if you loaded the game under 1.0.1 it has been modified as soon as loaded (this is part of Ironman), this typically will preclude rolling back successfully.

Normally our games make incompatible saves invisible, or at least warn you, so you can't accidentally do that. However I've just tested and I see this was not done on this occasion. I can only guess the urgency of getting the stuttering fix out meant other substantial code changes were not possible in the available timeframe.

I do apologise for that, as it seems there is no way forward for you with this save!

FYI Ironman saves are encrypted (for obvious reasons!) so cannot be edited or rescued in any way.

Sorry about all that!

Thank you for your reply.
Apparently the problem comes when you directly load a savegame from the previous version, and then try to continue playing, doesn't matter if you try to make a new campaign, the game is now bugged in it's entirety.
This time I started the game, directly made a new savegame and this time the game works perfectly fine.
Again, thank you for your reply.
