I got CK2 100% for free a year after release, as I believe Paradox were doing a promotion for early adopters, and gave them free copies to gift or something.Just noticed I:R on sale; 88% off. Cheapest it's ever been(by a fair margin).
Doesn't bode well.
Having said that, I picked up CK2 years ago, ludicrously cheaply ($10 Plentiful Paradox Package through Amazon I believe), and that went on to have a distinguished content & support career.
I'm curious if any previous games have had active development cease, and then restart?
I unironically want a Sengoku update. Along with the other 2 Sengoku fans out there.Sometime soon after the next March of the Eagles expansion drops.
There is a pretty big overhaul mod for CK3 set in Japan, I believe in the Sengoku era, you may enjoy looking at that. I think it's called Shogunate.I unironically want a Sengoku update. Along with the other 2 Sengoku fans out there.
Or I should say I want a Sengoku reskin for CK2(potentially CK3)
Thanks for this news @IsaacCAT . And I'm gladly they know that on this current stage the game is awesome(excluding the well know bugs

Got CK2 for free years and years ago, that started my entire addiction to this genre.Under the circumstances, that's probably good though.
Imperator needs players. The biggest hope for Imperator to get more content down the road is if more people play it and enjoy it. If people pick it up because it's heavily discounted and find they enjoy it, then that's more people to talk about it and advocate for it and potentially buy DLC down the line.
A lot of people don't know Imperator is actually good now. The more people get a chance to find out, the better. I still think 2.0 should have been marketed more heavily, but ultimately if discounts are the incentive people need to jump in then that can only help the game in the long run.
The last thing Imperator: Rome was in need - is a breakNot that means anything but is the most recent news about the matter:

German youtuber Steinwallen has kind of announced in his commenting vid on the development stop that he will do another LP with IR (will be his 3rd) in future - regardless if and when development is resumed. Since he does his LPs in seasons, they stretch over months - so at least the German community can look forward to further IR entertainmentGot CK2 for free years and years ago, that started my entire addiction to this genre.
And I do notice a lot of pople actually picking up on Imperator 2.0 being good, specifically on youtube.
Though most youtubers don't make videos on it sadly, since it doesn't rake in the views. Other than DanIsStoned and Lord Lambert I can't even think of anyone right now. But as we all know popular doesn't equal good.
NOT ONE STEP BACK!Please stop defeatism. The whining I should be demanding and not state defeat. Otherwise some end up here on the Roman-German border.
Pravus is doing a Bronze Age campaign atm.Got CK2 for free years and years ago, that started my entire addiction to this genre.
