It didn't take that long :).

I managed to stave the big civil war until the end... but Emperor Juan el Even will have to bring my foster-grandson back into the fold.

I'll start with the AAR-writing this weekend. Shall I put the final save-file here?

Good to see things are back on course! So Geoffrey turned out to be the best of the bunch? No surprise there! Please hold on to my grandsons - God only knows mess what my nancy-boy sons would make of raising them!

Now, I wonder if there's anything to drink around here...

OOC: Yes, the save goes in this thread. Make sure to include dynasties.txt as well.

Nice to see this still running AND the Van Der AARlander's doing well - in your face the rest of you! Given that my coat of arms features a giant black lion menacing a tower NONE of you stand a chance. That's science or something.

;)

:D I'll try to finish my part of the AAR this week. Should be two chapters. 'tis complicated weaving a story from the 700+ screenies, especially since the Emperor insisted in living longer and conquering farther that I expected.

Would anyone meanwhile do me the favor and tell me how to take screenies?

F11. They go into the main Crusader Kings folder.

Ufff. 1104 is up.

Had to sweat to put some sense in telling that year. And so many things have to go missing... :). It's cruel to dump over a hundred screenies.

Next one should not take that long :). The worst of the mess-storm is told.

@Iain. Of course :D.

Then worked a bit on fattening the electors that showed up. That's what the next decade is about :).

So you conquered half the map and the ungrateful lot still weren't happy? Typical.

The Emperor ignored the matter, hoping they'd just become bored and go away, until a Scot expeditionary force appeared in Lyon in July 1103 and attempted to besiege the city with less than 300 lances. This ended the Emperor's patience, and in turn led to the return invasion led by the Duke Zygmunt D'Oraz, where almost 20.000 soldiers were loosed into the Celtic lands.

I'm sure Dukes von Morningsider and van der Aarlander could have told you it's unwise to ignore the Scots for too long. Eventually a few of them will have enough beers and come causing trouble in your town centre.

We need AllmyJames for making fancy maps! I'll make it a mission to:

1. Get all of those muslim and pagans weezers out of the succesion, as they should have been conquered rather than vassalized.

2. Acquire peace.

3. Get the House D'Allmy back in the imperial palace.

4. Shamelssly gift my heirs with territory.

Well, a Pagan Emperor would be fun, wouldn't it :) ?

You're assuming there's an Empire left at the end of the reign... :D. The way things start going in 1106, I'd be worried. And the emperor just refuses to die even while his stats drop, his dukes grumble, his... 1107 is worse. 1108 worse yet. 1109... no, I'd better save it for later :D.

And yep, I'm graphics-less this week. There will (eventually) be screenies, but fancymapping takes more time than I have right now.

That is partly the fault of the Duchy of Dioclea. Man, what a romp...

I refer the right honourable gentleman to Glasgow city centre last night after the Old Firm derby match...

Noes!!!!

Change me away from elective Duchy!!!!!

Good stuff, interesting updates. I note poor Werner seems to have passed away and I cannot remember him having done anything of note whatsoever (in otherwords he has proven a great von Morningsider). This Albrecht fellow seems to be proving a decent Duke, I apologise for this, a von Morningsider should always be acting in a perfidious and rebellious manner. Hopefully he'll cause a civil war sometime soon.

One or two... the way it's going :), I think he'll do you proud.

I still hold the honor of remaining content for the longest. I'm the last one left who hasn'te rebelled yet, right?

I'm pleasantly surprised to see Ernst der Eifer carrying on his father's work as Count of Steiermark. I figured it would be the first place swallowed up by a hungry Duchy!

That could be arranged...

I'm very pleased to note that not only is the Dutchy of my descendants a well ordered place that's nicely set up to carry on the family name, but that one of my lads is poised to inherit our hated rival's dutchy.

Good times.
