Import/export sudden collapse

Expected Result​

City should continue importing and export product as normal

Actual Result​

Import and export drop towards zero - commercial collapses, crime rate skyrockets.

Steps to reproduce​

Unsure what is causing the issue - have tried going back on different saves and issue still occurs in approximately the same year

PlayStation 4

Game Version​

Up to date on playstation - game version not listen in corner of main menu - ps4 version running on ps5

Description​

City has been running perfectly fine for ~100 hours, stopped playing due to the bugs introduced with the hotels patch. Have been playing these past few days and resuming progress. Around the ingame year 2080 the city suddenly stops all imports/exports, import trains become truncated, cargo truck trailers stop spawning commercial building collapse, crime rate skyrockets and trash builds up until all buildings are plagued with problems. Industry stops selling goods. I believe the issue is with vehicle spawning/pathfinding.

The city has ~90% traffic, no jams. multiple cargo harbours and approx ~7 cargo stations. rail network is partitioned so cargo has its own line and not shared with passenger. There is small cargo storage warehouses spread throughout the city. Industry is spread out and is having trouble selling goods too. Budgets are maxed and optimised.

No Mods as on console. Please help!!

Looks like you've overloaded the network system. You likely can't spawn vehicles as have likely maxed out vehicles and are all out on streets and causing your city to collapse as they can't make more vehicles for deliveries.

First place I'd start is freight. Check your outside connections "Info view" button and reduce imports and especially exports. Exports are excess freight needlessly being generated at the cost of bad traffic and stifling your city.

Check any warehouses storing fish. Mine had all trucks in use, and we're constantly full despite being set to empty. I destroyed them and solved a similar problem in one of my cities.
Set budgets no higher than 120%, too high does not help.
Stop zoning any new areas, consider dezoning some.
I've had great difficulty with one of my cities since the last patch. It's slowly dying, I've fallen back to an earlier save as I not sure it can be saved. It was 169k now it's 75k, I feel your pain. Post again if you want suggestions on combating vehicle limit. Good luck.

Hi Both, Thanks for your help! I took a look at import/export and it seems warehouses storing fish seemed to be the problem. Both warehouses I had designated for fish were at 40/40 vehicles in uses and were choking out the city. I had a farm silo also constantly importing and exporting grain for some reason too. Deleting all the offending buildings seemed to fix the city and meant product could be continued to be delivered to commercial fine. Thanks for the help.

Looks like it a bug with fish warehouses (particularly the new train ones) on consoles that was the culprit!

I'm having the same issue.I removed the fish warehouse and the problem is persisting. Seems like I've hit the agent limit buy my city's pop is only 51k.

I've seen the agent limit hit at 20-something thousand. It can happen at almost any time for various reasons. worse if using certain mods.
 
I have had warehouses cause problems as stated. I believe the newest quay wall caused problems also. I thought it was patched. If using them you might try swapping them out for another to test. Good luck.
