Hi all!

I've been playing with Germany and Japan so much my nose is bleeding so I thought it'd be a good time to try the UK. Well...I find them to be totally unplayable. I'm used to landlocked nations or nations who have few and very short convoy routes so that could be it.

Anyway, with the UK I find that my convoys are almost totally bombed out just a few years into the war against the Germans. I try to spread out my fleet to kill the subs and german ships but it's totally impossible. If I send out smallish (6-12) fleets with one CV a few CV and CL's and some DD's they get wiped out. If I send out huge fleets (20-30) they do better but then I just can't cover all the sea zones I need to cover. I thought the UK was going to be fun to play but it seems playing the UK is a glorified convoy micromanagement game...

Any advice on how to manage?

it should be one of your main problems.. so it was in rl?!
you tryed a few things - i could add:
-build more transports/escorts
-build more dds (others arent really effective)
-cancel auto supply lines.. do them manually - rare but much at once
so you dont need to guard all the time but if you can concentrate..

i guess the subs really are too strong.. but they really are much better simulated then in vanilla.
besides - quoting dec152000 (hsr developer):
"Hi,
In my AI vs AI testing the submarines were killing everything in sight and I agree with probablly made subs too good. For the 2.05 Beta I've reduced sub's surface attack values a bit and increased DD and CV sub attack values. mm
