So in order for CK3 to NOT feel like an inferior version of CK2 at launch, and to make sure that the purchase is actually worth it for CK2 veterans - I STRONGLY feel like you NEED to be able to play as ALL religions from the start, alongside all government forms. This as well as ruler-designer is really my absolute minimum demand in order to warrant a purchase at launch!

Best of luck Paradox, I have faith in you and I know you will deliver a great product :)

Issue with ruler-designer is also that, where new trait system seems like more permanent traits and dont change so often which is good, but there is definately need to start custom character to make ruler more of your liking. So you dont have to role play only random traits your character have but you can chooce traitset what you are going to roleplay.

See, I think if they put more effort into historical characters so they come out similar every time (unlike now where only a few "big names" have set traits and stats whilst the rest are randomly generated) then that would make choosing your starting character more fun... this guy is a Duke but he has shitty starting traits/traits I don't want to play whereas this count is objectively less powerful but he's a perfect fit for how I play...

I like how OP's post is basically "let's make this game awesome", and people are still disagreeing.
No, it's saying that unless the quantity of the first game is not matched then it's worse no matter how much quality improved.

What a lot of us are saying is that if playing as a catholic feudal ruler is done twice as well, I don't mind the fact that I can't play as a Tengri Nomad at game launch. It's better to focus dev time on the perfect game fundamentals rather than stuff that a small percentage of the playerbase uses.

I think a lot of us have different ideas of what is awesome though. IMO what's not awesome is a copy paste job. I'd much rather have new systems representing religions and governments than playing the same way I do in CK 2. When people say the game needs to have stuff from CK 2 all I hear is they want the same mechanics transported over. I'll not have it.

How do you know that only a small percentage of CK2 players plays as nomads?

Well, for one thing, because Paradox aren’t bothered. They have a lot more information than we do on player preferences, and their data clearly told them nomads weren’t a priority.

Can you provide some info on that?

One of the devs (perhaps Doomdark, I can't recall) stated in an interview about nomads and merchant republics characterising them that the later were fairly popular, making it a contrast to nomads.

No, OPs post was "I demand you implement this or I won't buy!"
I'm disagreeing with the entitlement
