Even when things are bad they are good. I have some permanent infraction points, for example; they were not given out by "a moderator" but by the person who administers the entire forum.

Sure getting in trouble is not what I'd like to do, or what the admins would like to do to me, but the simple fact that such a high-end individual does the "dirty work" is inspiring.

CK 2 is such a unique game which is a very rare thing these days. Not only gameplaywise it's unique but also bl##dy marvelous aswell.

The only thing Paradox has and is annoying me with is the fact they have the rights for computer Squad Leader for several years now and have done nothing with it.

Paradox is like the least corporate bullshit company out there. I feel like they listen to the community.

Had a look for a few pages and couldn't find a similar thread (cue someone pointing out something obvious I've probably missed), but I've been playing PDS (if you include those made before they were called PDS) games for a good while now, have put hundreds of hours in, and reckon they're awesome. Gameplay deeper than the Mariana Trench, so many different ways to play each game (often for each starting country/dynasty), a subtle sense of humour, and great post-launch support :). Am also very, very impressed with the state PDS games launch in these days - you're one of the better PC devs for robust, non-buggy releases at launch, which is no mean feat.

So thanks for all the awesome games and keep up the great work, am very much looking forward to HoI IV, Runemaster and WoN :D.

Thanks for your kind words! We'll do our best to keep up delivering quality and support. :)

Hear hear. Paradox will be glad to hear that (to their great honour) they have, officially, as of 2014, become my favourite games developer in the whole world bar none.

Yes Paradox, it's really true, you will be overjoyed to hear it, it's the news you have been waiting for I'm sure. Well... I hereby award it to you.... and you are most welcome.

If you're gonna suck up you could at least tell the truth.

Oh my sweet summer child :p .

You should have tried to play the early games on release. They were still a lot of fun, but it felt like a stroll through bugland

sure someone always can outsmart a system,
but i meant
could steam be enough to make pirated games less common then let's say 10 years ago?

if it is so pirates are a problem for video-games developer but not an increasing problem, but a decreasing one...

I'd say, when I was younger and much poorer before I could have a job and relied on my very poor parents I developed the habit of pirating every game I ever played. That continued for a while even after I started making my own money because it just became habit, then I got introduced to steam, and patches and dlc, and it just became a lot easier to spend the money then be worrying about missing out on a gaming experience because your stuck with a much older version of the game, or are missing features etc.

+1 - PDS actually are one of the better devs for stability at launch and support these days. They've always been good with support, but if you'd have asked me whether they'd be great at stability at launch back in 2005, say, I wouldn't have put a lot of money on it, they've really turned it around :).
