Tonight will come a new update where you will see an unexpected growth of Byzantium and a pagan tribe.

Not so happy news

It was year 1079 and Nikolaos began to show interest on his siblings doings. He hoped to hear that they would be well but instead he found out that his sister had died in the childbirth the previous year or at least that is what they told to him. Nikolaos had his feelings that Alexios brothers who had recently joined the Kingdom of Nubia better known as the Kingdom of Crete as Nubia had lost its lands in Nubia and retreated to Crete, had killed her sister.

Nikolaos also wanted to know about his bastard brother who apparently had killed himself after the birth of his son.

Delphinas Juvanos the son of Theodoros lived in Mozhaysk with his mother.

Then there was Marina, Nikolaos mother who had been living in Novgorod but had moved to Vladislav after the pagans had invaded Novgorod. She had died a year after the invasion.

Fear of pagans helps the Empire to grow

In 1083 the Russian Princes approached the Byzantine Empire asking for protection against the Pagan Kingdom of Finland led by the fearsome Chief Tarvas of Finland. This King of Finland had gained the trust of the Finnish High Chiefs as well as the Wends and the Lettigallish Chiefs.

Emperor accepted this and declared himself as the King of Rus. Not all were happy about this and rebellions broke out again. The young Prince of Kiev was the first one to rebel though he was also the favorite heir to the throne.

Kiev was soon retaken and Emperor Georgios turned to east where the Orthodox Kingdom of Georgia was overthrown and replaced with an Muslim Sultanate of Georgia.

I have no power to punish them, it is all up to the Emperor to punish them or the Swedes(Tre Kronor: Sweden, Norway & Denmark) who are at war with them.

Well done! Now, to enlarge thy demesne.

Well, now is time to gain a lot more vassals. :D
Alexios has a bit too many prince tittles.

Well he gained most of the russian prince titles as there were a Rurikovich before him and you know how they are all related and then they die and i had to make sure that i won't be the next Emperor for many years though i think my turn is next.

The Rurikovich's always find a way into the line of succession. Partly because half the kings of Europe have Rurikid mothers.
Good to see the Spanish Christians are kicking Moorish butt but I've never seen the Finns do so well.

Also:

Sweet Finland!!!
Eat the slavs, make them slaves!!!

Where do you think the word slaves came from?
