I recall, once, when my ruler became incapable as a result of age. However, because incapability reduces all my stats to 0, revolts starting happening once a month. Even when I popped out all the mercenaries there /were/ Beyond the Wall, I couldn't maintain a defense against the rebels for very long.

Which doesn't make sense, from a lore perspective. An incapable wildling would probably have been overthrown quite quickly, but likely by his heir/vassals rather than independence revolts. There should be a way for an incapable wildling ruler to retire to his heir.

From a lore perspective a wildling has niether an heir nor vassals.
