OK, i am confused. i just received my copy of Victoria yesterday, and i noticed that the daily balance sheet seems to be wrong.

i do not see where the daily income from the sale of exports is included. as i calculate it, the daily balance should be 328.35 (±) "pounds." where do i err?

i have a saved game of this, if it is needed.

also, FWIW, i do not see a load-game option from the save-game menu. should there be one? tia.

you get nothing from the sale of imports. the POPs the money, you get the tax. i think that is what the anwer is...

you can't load a game from ingame, you have to quit the game to the main menu, then load the game... there was some problem w/ 'carryover' or some such thing

i don't have a problem with that. but, at least the POPs could also pay for the imports? eh? anyway, it is good to know that everything is WAD.

i guess that it would be nice to know the "logic" of those decisions...

edit to add: does the "carryover" mean that fragments of a game would carryover to the "new" game?

OH, and many thanks!

hmmm. do the POPs get to "spend" that money? :D

They do pay for their imports. They just don't pay for the government's (ie your) imports.

The exports entry in the ledger is the amount of money made by selling everything you produce. This money goes to the POPs you get back a proportion of theat money based on the taxes.

The imports entry lists the cost of the goods your country buys from the WM to put on its stockpile. It does not list the cost of the goods bought by your POPs to satisfy their needs.

Yes they use it to buy the goods they need. They buy it from the WM and not from your stockpile. They also will use it to buy state bonds if they have enough cash. This give you an extra avenue of income.

Yes.

thanks for the information. guess i should have read more than i did to get started. :eek:o
