Incomplete Download from GG for DV?
Hello, I seem to be having either a very basic or very profound issue with downloading DV from GG. I have CK and was VERY excited about getting DV, but every time I try to download DV all I get is a .DAT and two .BIN files and an empty .txt file. No way to extract them, no way to read them...nothing! They just sit there in a folder...taunting me.
It looks to me like I'm only geting about half of the program downloaded before the downloader happily chirps that it's done. It goes from 22 MB to 42 MB downloaded in roughly 3 seconds...this seems to me to be the problem, but I'm no expert.
Maybe I'm supposed to download those files into a specific directory? Right now I'm just putting them in the paradox directory.
I'm running XP SP 2
Mobile Athlon 3400 2.2 GHz
1GB of RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600/9700 with 64 MB (this is why I don't own EU 3...hahaha)
DirectX 9
Talk about frustrating.
I have .NET 2.0. What the heck am I doing wrong?!
I have tried cleaning the download directory and re-installing...just FYI
