Right now, it's Thrace, Messopotamia, and Italy. The Norfolk player got burnt out on CK and wanted to take a break, so he dropped from the game. With you as Bohemia, that would make four.

And I'm sure Solmyr wouldn't complain TOO much if you took Bohemia. ;) After all, it seems you'd be willing to play an unedited Bohemia (which would be cool- I didn;t edit my Baghdad Duke either...)

Well, current players are Patrucio al-Abbasid, the king of Mesopotamia and Basra, Solmyr Orseolo, the king of Italy and Byakhiam Dukas, the duke of Thrace and many other places. We used to have Sterkarm de Mombray, duke of Norfolk and Drake de Flandre, duke of Flanders-Artois, but former got a burn-out and latter got squashed by AI Norfolk, while he was AI:ed due to not showing up and quit.

EDIT: And I think Bohemia is good choice, because we, the rest, are already rather powerful, so it would be kind of silly to have you with puny nation at our mercies. ;)

Saxony isn't too weak either (especially if you edit the character). I'm ok with you playing Bohemia though, there will be border tension. ;)

If you play Bohemia though, I think you should keep the existing characters without editing, as it would be on par with the rest of us.

Border tensions between Bohemia and Italy are the main draw-back to taking the kingdom- if you wanted to merely co-exist, Saxony would be a better choice. If you wanted to make the game more interresting for both you and Solmyr, though, Bohemia is a good choice.

On the plus side, though, Bohemia and Italy are far too distant from Messopotamia for me to care what happens between you two (save as a matter of interest), so there's little chance I would involve myself in any conflict between you two. The same may or may not be true for the Dukas of Thrace. I imagine, though, the Greeks would be inclined to try to keep both sides of the conflict relatively balanced, both as a check on your power and to encourage you two to try to stay in their good graces.

A PC Bohemia would certainly make player relations more interresting.... good thing he's not looking at Cairo. :D

Hehe. Aye. I'm seriously fine with Saxony too if that is preferred though I would like to be able to edit a couple things. If the age of the new ruler could be changed to 16 that would be the main point. Would like to get him married and producing heirs. ;) If not, I'll play him at 14.

I assume it is as easy as it always was getting a wife in game for a ruler with the usual drawbacks. So I don't need a wife created either. The only thing I'd like to know if possible is what his health and fertility scores are. While I am fine with his current scores I wouldn't want to be cursed with a very bad health/fertility score.

If it would be a more interesting choice (and if Solmyr wants me to as he would be the most affected) I can play Bohemia. Otherwise, Saxony is fine with no modifications and would be great with age to 16 and confirmed health and fertility scores. :D

Also, are you guys looking at possibly taking this into EUII? And what about Victoria? Someone posted you could take EUII into Victoria? First is that right? Secondly, if it is, would you all be looking at possibly taking it that far?

What speed do you guys play on as well? Would like to try a practice game on that Mod at that speed to get a feel for not being able to pause and what not.

Thanks and let me know.

Edit:

Negative piety? Dpes this affect loyalty of vassals? If so, Saxony is in a bad situation with -70 piety. If not, they are gaining 0.7 and that would eventually fix itself so no big issue.

Oh, is there the church in this mod? I noticed there is no papal state. So no crusades, no excommunication, etc?

Alright. After a test run of Saxony they are in a bad place. ;) Revolts, poor land productivity, and little to no troops for a duchy of that size. I'll still play them though if that is what is preferred. Bohemia might be better but I'd much rather Sol be completely okay with that.

Also, as this mod is a new one on me and I do not know it well, if any of the other Duchies are possibly a good choice let me know and I will look them over.

And do the Mongols attack or no? If not Bilyar might be okay. Will have to look at it again. Of course if there are Mongold, Bilyar very bad. :(

Heh. So as a recap:

You guys let me know what works best for everyone.

The Arab mystics have received visions of forthcoming doom, and obsessively fortify their lands.... ;)

Iirc Pat doesn't have EU2 so we likely won't move over. Though we have to see when (if) we get that far. We seem to get ten years or so in per session and as we are nearly at 1150s, it's still 25 sessions or so to go until we would be in 1400.

I do have EU II. What I don't have is Victoria. But, like Byak said, it's too far off for us to worry about now. I don't think we've ever made it to the Mongol invasion in a 1066 MP game, much less the 1400's.

Bohemia is fine with me.

Yeah, the Mongol events are there. Hopefully they will provide Pat with hours of fun, he must feel pretty lonely there in Mesopotamia. :D

Alrighty. Will play Bohemia next game. No need for any edits as the ruler is decent and has plenty of heirs. See you guys then. :)

Oh... Just log in to the Multiplayer lobby or direct connection of some sort?

We usually play through VNet, unless it's down, in which case I'll give you my ip number. You might want to post or PM to me your ICQ or AIM information so I can contact you if necessary.

Oh, and we currently play this game at Normal speed. Though we generally allow pausing when your ruler or steward dies.

Just checking to make sure people are planning on showing up for the game this weekend. Anyone planning on bailing out at the last minute?

I'll be there. :D

Not showing you online with AIM (though I may be using it wrong as I have never used AIM before). Also, sitting in the VNET Crusader Room. Guess it is still ten til so... where are you guys?

Edit:

Alrighty. Byak is in. Guess I went to the right program. :)

Out of curiosity, what is the starting time at for the game nowadays? I may be rejoining (if you'll allow me) because my vicky mp game just fizzled out after half the players left because they lost to me in a war...
