while i don't want to get too off topic, i fixed the crashes NSIS was having in the version that is on my computer. unfortunately, the "selecting another nation" bug persists, but the easy way around it is to change the starting nations in the .eug. if you want the new version, i'll upload it. i have worked on it so very little in the past few months though :^(

I am not sure if anyone have mentioned this before (to lazy to read 55 pages), but I played as rebel scum and suddenly got a diplomat (random event). Tried to use the diplomat and the game crashed. Loaded and tried again, crashed.

The same would happen if you played the rebels in any other scenario and is a hardcoded "limit".
It could've been solved smoother in the IES though, by disabling all of the error-prone events for the Rebels, instead of letting the players himself figure out what can and can't be done as the Rebels. Perhaps they shouldn't be selectable in the first place.

after months of not playing eu2 i tried it again, and wanted to install my favourite mod for it too.
however, when i run it it always crashes when i try to start a game...
the loading bar reaches about 1/3 and then*poof*.

when i set the eu2.exe to windows 98 compatibility mode the loading bar gets to "initialising" before it crashes (i never see the map though).

i installed it on 1.08+latest beta patch, and the vanilla game runs normal, even without compability mode... :(

any ideas?
(i only read the last few sites of the thread.)

/edit
ok i installed it on a version only patched with 1.08, and it works. :)
the "new" beta patches made it crash it seems...

Yes, the problem is actually the new patch, the IES 1.70 only works with 1.08 and betas released before the 16th of August (it might work with later the later patches but not from the 12th of April (2005) patch since that one changes the province.csv file, up until that may work (but there's no guarantee)).
I tried to fix this to make it compatible with the April patches but failed, perhaps I should give it another try, but until then the IES will only run on earlier beta patches.

I now I am late, very late at this, but I just discover this mod and after enjoying one game with it I believe it's trully awesome!

I think you will like to know that even nowadays people enjoy playing this EU2 mod you did. Congrats! :)

Here you go. Perhaps these should be in the downloads thread instead.
