Inevitable and Unresolvable Crashes on Mac m1 after 1.6 update

Help Please!
I love playing V3. The game worked just fine on mac before 1.6, after the new update my nightmare started. These crashes are killing me...
Ever since the 1.6 update my V3 always crashes, regardless of what nation I play as. The hotfix did not work for me at all. EVERY game WILL crash at some point, no later than 1846. Reloading does not help. Reinstalling does not help. Disabling mods does not help. I'm running out of options.

Please do a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-Vic3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Victoria3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3 folders - In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Victoria3 or Documents Victoria3 locations, before installing again.
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- start the game with no mods active and test with a new campaign, NOT any existing one.

**File Locations on Mac OS X**
The executable and DLC folder are in Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Victoria3/
To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and type in ~/Library/ .
The user files (settings files, error logs, saved games, mods) are in /Users/USER/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/ .


If that doesn't help, revert to the last 1.5.x patch and do that clean reinstall again - does it go okay then?

Update 1:
Just did a full clean reinstall: Followed the instructions and started a game as Australia without any mods. The game crashed within weeks in-game.
Now I'm reverting the game to 1.5.9 rollback and will try again.

I'm not seeing a Victoria 3 folder in Steam/SteamApps/common folder this time. Is it okay to proceed the installment of the game?

That is normal. When Steam does an uninstall it removes all files it placed there originally; if that empties the folder it deletes that too.
