Liir in general has more torpedoes launcher on their starship than anyone else. I think their cruiser have 3 torpedoes for mission while everyone else has two.
Specifically on their cruisers, yes. 3 with barrage or 4 with torpedo, plus two for an assault bridge. Or, of course, up to 8 tubes on an assault/BR cruiser with a flight of torpedo BRs, since Liir torpedo BRs are double-barreled. No one of their cruiser sections has an unbeatable number of tubes, but they're tied for most tubes on both command and mission sections while no other race is.

Their DNs, on the other hand, still boast the hilariously large fixed beam batteries. Like, 10 on a Barrage mission section. Bear in mind here, Liir drives are inertialess...their dreadnoughts are infamously nimble, so they might just be able to use those beams on targets smaller than a planet.

Thanks for the info you two. Both u,ulz and tav, have helped me out alot!!!

Do you have any advice on how to start out? All i've done so far is research better torpedoes, some basic civic researches, and a few others.

Also, as i made this thread to talk about "br's and drones", is there any advice on how to field thier carrier type craft? I'm really anxious to see what its like to launch some battleships.

And to Ulz, your last comment, u said that the liir have 10 beam batteries on thier barrage section, but isnt that for lasers? If the liir are also good with the entire energy weapons tree, thats wonderful. The last game i played i was the tarkas, and a combo of cutter beams and antimatter cannons made such short work of ships. Matter of fact, the first race i ran into on my newer game is the tarka so after i get a foothold, theyre dead!!!

Ive just did some basic math, and it seems to me that drones/br's etc. are over priced. they cost 1/2ish what a cruiser costs, but cruisers last waaaaaaaaay longer. Should i report this as a bug or what?

thanks in advance!
