I don't seem to be able to install either EU 2 or Victoria on my machine. I get the install menu, click install, and my drive starts to thrash. The computer becomes very possessive of the disk, refusing repeated attempts to get the drive door open.

HOI 2 and CK installed fine.

PROBLEM FIXED.

Have you tried installing from your other Drive?

Update your video card.

I'm guessing you mean "video driver" here?

Well I thought of that, which is why I told you to try the other drive, I doubt you would be so unlucky that both your drives did not like the disk.

Have you tried letting the install program go for say 20 mins.

No, but I'll give it a shot.

EDIT: I salute your superior knowledge, sir. It took about five minutes (which is about 4.9 minutes longer than I usually like to let a drive thrash), but then both of them installed.

Many thanks, and this thread can be locked.

Glad you are up and running.
